Registration Now Open!

The 2012 SOFE CDS is scheduled for July 29 to August 1 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in Dallas Texas. Planning is currently underway by the CDS Committee and the CDS Program Committee to prepare for this event. We are looking for another record year for CDS and are planning accordingly for a packed, timely and informative program and meeting featuring highlights of the Dallas, Texas area. Our Sunday Night Social activities are being coordinated with the Circle R Ranch and promise to include great Texas BBQ, lots of activities for all interests and an opportunity to maximize networking with friends and colleagues. More details to follow. Any questions, please contact CDS Chair Rick Nelson at rnelson@eidebailly.com or Jim Kattman, CDS Program Chair at jkattman@noblecon.net .  

Testing is now available 365 days a year using SOFE’s newly launched web based e-learning, certificate and testing site, developed with Test.com web based software. The site is where the CRE Reading Program tests are now offered as well as the AFE and CFE tests. See  details at http://www.sofe.org/testing/information.cfm.

The Financial Examiners Education Foundation has provided SOFE with scholarship funds for a limited number of attendees for the 2012 CDS.  These scholarship funds are intended for state and federal insurance regulators whose department or agency does not cover the cost of attending SOFE’s CDS.  The scholarship applicants shall be insurance regulators who are employed directly by a state, US territory, or federal government agency (i.e. contract examiners are not eligible). Applicants must be a member of SOFE in good standing.  The scholarship funds cover only the registration fees and do not cover any travel or hotel related expenses.  Written evidence of the fact that the governmental agency does not pay for CDS attendance shall be provided by the person in charge of the state or federal agency or his/her designee.  M All applications are due by April 30, 2012.
