The Society conceived of and developed the titles of Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE®) and Certified Financial Examiner (CFE®), which are bestowed upon individuals who have completed extensive and thorough training and experience and have successfully completed Society-administered exams since 1974. The Society has also begun credentialling Automated Examination Specialists (AES®), those examiners who specialize in automated exams of insurance companies.
